Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP PLM Functional Lead to drive the functional design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP PLM modules, including Document Management System (DMS), Bill of Materials (BOM), Product Structure, Change Management, Specification Management, Recipe Development, and Portfolio and Project Management.

The candidate should have experience integrating SAP PLM with SAP S/4HANA and external enterprise applications, leading business workshops, supporting large-scale ERP transformations, and translating complex system processes into clear, user-friendly documentation and training materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the functional design, implementation, and enhancement of SAP PLM solutions across the product lifecycle.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP PLM functional solutions.
• Support and optimize SAP PLM processes, including DMS, BOM Management, Product Structure, Change Management, Specification Management, Recipe Development, and Portfolio and Project Management.
• Conduct stakeholder workshops, fit-gap assessments, process mapping, and business process harmonization activities.
• Design and oversee integrations between SAP PLM, SAP S/4HANA, and external enterprise applications.
• Define integration approaches using APIs, IDocs, middleware, and other SAP integration technologies.
• Collaborate with technical teams, solution architects, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Develop process flows, workflow diagrams, functional documentation, user guides, and step-by-step instructional materials.
• Use process modeling tools such as SAP Signavio and Microsoft Visio to document business processes and workflows.
• Train and support end users on SAP PLM functionalities, business processes, and system workflows.
• Support solution governance, compliance, change management, user adoption, and continuous process improvement.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, industry best practices, and organizational standards.

Mandatory Skills

• 7+ years of relevant experience in SAP PLM functional consulting or implementation.
• Strong hands-on functional expertise in SAP PLM, particularly DMS, BOM Management, Product Structure, and Change Management.
• Knowledge of Specification Management, Recipe Development (RD), and Portfolio and Project Management (PPM).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and enterprise application interfaces.
• Understanding of SAP integration technologies, including APIs, IDocs, and middleware platforms.
• Experience in large-scale ERP implementations, global enterprise transformations, or digital transformation programs.
• Proficiency in process modeling and documentation tools such as SAP Signavio and Microsoft Visio.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical architecture and workflows into clear, step-by-step user documentation and training guides.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, workshop facilitation, and functional leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in end-to-end SAP PLM implementation, rollout, and support projects.
• Knowledge of SAP enterprise architecture, data governance, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in business process standardization, workflow optimization, and change management.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders in global environments.
