Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PHP Yii Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise-level web applications using the Yii Framework, with a strong preference for Yii2. This role requires a professional who can deliver high-quality, scalable, and well-documented code, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and contribute significantly throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications primarily using the PHP Yii Framework (Yii2 preferred).

•Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices.

•Design and implement RESTful APIs, and seamlessly integrate with various third-party services.

•Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and troubleshoot production issues to ensure optimal application functionality.

•Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, and Product Owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.

•Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.

•Adhere to Agile/Scrum methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

•Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee the reliability and quality of applications.

•Manage source code effectively using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

•Strong expertise in PHP 7/8: Demonstrable proficiency in modern PHP development.

•Hands-on experience with Yii2 Framework: Proven track record of developing applications using Yii2.

•Good understanding of MVC architecture: Solid grasp of Model-View-Controller design patterns.

•MySQL/PostgreSQL database design and optimization: Ability to design efficient database schemas and optimize queries.

•REST APIs and JSON: Experience in building and consuming RESTful services.

•HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery: Front-end development skills for interactive web interfaces.

•Bootstrap/Tailwind CSS: Proficiency in responsive front-end frameworks.

•Git/GitHub/GitLab: Competence in version control systems.

•Linux environment: Familiarity with development and deployment in a Linux environment.

•Composer dependency management: Experience managing PHP project dependencies.

Technical Skills (Good to Have)

•Docker: Experience with containerization for development and deployment.

•Redis: Knowledge of in-memory data structures store for caching and message brokering.

•RabbitMQ: Experience with message queueing systems.

•AWS/Azure: Familiarity with cloud platforms.

•CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins): Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.

•PHPUnit: Proficiency in PHP unit testing framework.

•Jira: Experience with project management and issue tracking tools.
