We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled GCP Data Engineer to take a leadership role in the end-to-end design, integration, and architectural integrity of our data platform. This role spans from initial development through global production, ensuring a seamless, high-performance, and robust ecosystem built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities (Strategic Design & Governance)
•End-to-End Blueprinting: Own and define the holistic architectural roadmap, ensuring that Google Cloud Run, BigQuery, and Google API Gateway operate as a seamless, high-performance ecosystem.
•Component Orchestration: Design intricate interaction patterns between microservices, external identity providers, and data verification APIs.
•Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Architect the platform to meet stringent non-functional requirements, including high availability (targeting 99.99% SLA), scalability to effectively manage burst loads, and disaster recovery strategies that adhere to strict Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) targets.
•Security & Compliance Architecture: Define and implement the comprehensive security posture for the platform, encompassing Zero-Trust networking principles (utilizing Private Service Connect/Cloud NAT), robust encryption for data at rest and in transit, and meticulous audit logging.
•Cost Governance & Optimization: Lead the FinOps strategy, meticulously balancing performance requirements against the infrastructure budget to ensure efficient and optimized cloud spend.
•Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary technical liaison, fostering collaboration and alignment between business stakeholders, DevOps leads, and development teams to ensure all technical decisions are congruent with overarching business objectives.
Technical Requirements (Must-Haves)
•Architectural Experience: A minimum of 11 years of experience in software or systems architecture, with at least 4 years specifically focused on Google Cloud Platform.
•Enterprise Integration: Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing complex integrations involving Google API Gateway, various Identity Providers (e.g., Auth0, Okta), and high-scale databases.
•Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep and comprehensive understanding of serverless architecture and modern networking concepts (including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Firewalls, and Load Balancing).
•Decision Frameworks: Strong analytical capabilities to conduct thorough”Build vs. Buy” analyses and effectively defend architectural choices to executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
•Certifications: Google Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) certification is highly preferred.
•Legacy Migration: Proven experience in successfully migrating enterprise platforms from legacy on-premise or monolithic systems to modern cloud-native architectures.
