Job Overview:

We are hiring a Senior SQL/PL Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our remote data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures to support enterprise-scale data systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies.
• Work with large datasets to ensure data integrity, availability, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with application developers and data engineers to implement business logic in the database layer.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for SQL/PL code and database objects.
• Participate in database design and architecture discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and bugs.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Proficiency in RDBMS such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization.
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data warehousing and big data systems.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP BigQuery).
• Exposure to scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting for automation.
