Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain mission-critical Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance, integrity, security, and availability while ensuring adherence to best practices in backup, recovery, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c).
• Monitor database performance and proactively resolve issues related to performance, storage, and security.
• Perform database tuning, query optimization, and index analysis.
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN/Data Pump.
• Manage and maintain database security, roles, privileges, and audit policies.
• Plan and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and replication strategies.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripts or PL/SQL.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments.
• Maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and standards.
• Support 24/7 on-call production issues when required.

Required Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c).
• Strong skills in backup/recovery tools like RMAN, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Proficiency in performance tuning and database optimization techniques.
• Experience with RAC, ASM, and GoldenGate.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting (Shell, Python, or Perl).
• Good knowledge of database architecture, design, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with PL/SQL development and debugging.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Exposure to other RDBMS like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD practices related to database deployments.
• Oracle certifications (OCP/OCE/OCA) preferred.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
