About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to process structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Optimize data systems and pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with big data tools and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) to manage large-scale data processing.
• Implement data governance, quality, and security best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and ensure data integrity.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall data engineering best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 6 to 10 years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
• Experience with big data tools and frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, etc.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3), GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow), or Azure (Data Factory, Synapse).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and modern data architectures (Data Lakes, Lakehouses).
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, Git, Docker, and infrastructure as code is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
• Exposure to real-time data processing and stream processing systems.
