We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Senior Anaplan Model Builder with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to design, develop, and optimize complex Anaplan models. This role is critical in transforming business planning processes, enabling advanced scenario analysis, and driving strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Anaplan best practices, model governance, and data integration, with a strong understanding of how Anaplan can leverage data from platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly within the utility sector.
Core Competencies: Anaplan Model Building & Optimization
The Senior Anaplan Model Builder will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Anaplan model development, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing maintenance. This includes designing modular and scalable models, implementing complex business logic, and ensuring optimal model performance.

Strategic Impact & Cross-Functional Collaboration
This role extends beyond technical model building to strategic partnership. The Senior Anaplan Model Builder will collaborate closely with finance, operations, and IT stakeholders to understand their planning needs and translate them into effective Anaplan solutions. Experience in the electric and gas utility sector is a significant advantage, as it enables the candidate to design models that address industry-specific challenges such as demand forecasting, capital planning, and regulatory reporting.
The ability to integrate Anaplan with existing data warehouses or data lakes on GCP, utilizing services like BigQuery for analytical data and Cloud Storage for data staging, will be crucial for creating a connected planning ecosystem . The candidate will act as a subject matter expert, guiding the organization on Anaplan capabilities and fostering a culture of connected planning.
Professional Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Anaplan model building and implementation is required, with a proven track record of delivering successful, large-scale Anaplan projects. Active Anaplan certifications, particularly Level 2 Model Builder and ideally Master Anaplanner or Solution Architect, are essential.
