Role Overview
We are actively seeking a highly proficient SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS)
Consultant at the E3 BAND level to drive data excellence within a large-scale S/4HANA digital
transformation programme. The successful candidate will serve as a technical authority in the
design, development, and execution of critical data migration and integration workstreams. This
role is fundamental to ensuring the availability of high-fidelity, accurate, and comprehensive data
across both legacy source and target SAP environments, directly underpinning the success of
critical go-live milestones.
Operating in close partnership with the Data Architect and cross-functional programme teams,
this position demands a strategic approach to delivering timely, precise, and scalable data
migration solutions that align with enterprise objectives.

Data Migration Design & Execution
The consultant will lead the technical delivery of data migration activities, ensuring robust and
efficient data transfer mechanisms.

Design &
Development
Architect and develop complex SAP BODS data flows, workflows, and
data stores. Formulate comprehensive strategies for the migration of
both master and transactional data to the SAP S/4HANA landscape.
ETL Execution Execute and optimize robust data extraction, transformation, and
loading (ETL) processes from diverse and complex legacy source
systems.

Reusability
Engineer and maintain reusable BODS objects, scripts, and
repositories, strictly adhering to established programme standards and
promoting development efficiency.
Quality
Assurance
Direct rigorous unit testing and system integration testing (SIT).
Provide dedicated support during user acceptance testing (UAT) to
validate all migration objects against business requirements.
Data Quality & Governance
Ensuring the integrity and reliability of data is paramount. The consultant will champion data
quality initiatives throughout the migration lifecycle.

Analysis
Conduct exhaustive data profiling and analysis of source systems to
proactively identify, quantify, and remediate data quality anomalies
prior to migration execution.
Rule Definition Collaborate extensively with business data owners and subject matter
experts to define precise data cleansing rules, transformation logic,
and validation criteria.
Monitoring &
Reporting
Develop and maintain sophisticated data quality dashboards and
exception reporting mechanisms within BODS to continuously monitor
data integrity and migration progress.
Governance
Alignment
Enforce stringent data governance standards throughout the entire
migration lifecycle, ensuring absolute alignment with overarching
enterprise data policies and regulatory requirements.
Integration & Technical Architecture
The role requires deep technical expertise to design and maintain the underlying data
architecture and integration pipelines.

Liaison
Act as the primary technical liaison with basis and infrastructure
teams regarding system landscape architecture, transport
management protocols, and performance tuning strategies.
